摘要：The intelligent learning management is an objective becoming, increasingly, necessary and required in Brazil. However the difficulty to reach it is proportional to the educational problems faced by our country. Among other problems, we can mention insufficient investments in technology and efficient management, and the activities overload present in teachers' everyday work routine. The objective of this article is to present the educational data mining (EDM) area as a possible help provider for those problems mentioned above. We are going to do that dealing with some classical, and some more recent, problems in education, listing EDM techniques that offer a solution for them
