摘要:The need to develop new structural wood systems for housing construction arises from the lack of current alternatives in developing countries that could ensure an economical, extensive and, fundamentally, sustainable approach to building. Therefore, this research attempts to contribute to the implementation of new structural elements for the sustainable construction of wooden houses, which can be manufactured using low-tech processes, making them accessible and easy to use. Specifically, we will report on the performance of tensioned elements of wood, used as structural components in housing construction. In order to achieve the project objectives, the building components were designed following a relevant literature review and contextual knowledge. Then a constructive and structural validation was undertaken through prototypes and experimental trials.
