摘要:Ovarian cancer is the most threateningcause of death among gynecologic malignanciesand represents the fifth leading cause of death fromall cancers for women. Research reveals thatovarian cancer patients exhibit significant immuneresponses against the tumor. In this review of thecurrent literature chiefly the interaction of ovariancancer tumor cells and the immune system isdiscussed. There is increasingly growing evidencethat pro-inflammatory cytokines are involved inintricate complex of mechanisms responsible fortumorigenesis, and delicate balance between proandanti-inflammatory cytokines is critical for theantitumor host immune response.
