摘要:In this study, professional music education undergraduate programs which are showing a rapid increase in the numerical sense in Turkey have been examined in the context of the faculties, newly established universities, music departments and conservatory. In the research, the increase in professional music education undergraduate programs was handled both with newly opened universities and with new faculties, conservatories and musical departments established in existing and older universities. Another aim of the study is to evaluate professional music education undergraduate programs in terms of program output and employment opportunities in Turkey. For this purpose, professional music education bachelor programs are classified according to the program types together with quantitative data for the area in terms of employment outcomes. The universe of the study consists of subsidiary institutions under Turkish Higher Education Council that offer professional music education at the bachelor degree level. In the research, it was aimed to reach the whole of the universe by not conducting sample selection. Working in professional music education in Turkey 116 professional music undergraduate program/type is determined. Qualitative research method was used in the study and descriptive analysis is used in the presentation of the data. Within the framework of the main problem investigated in the study, the phenomenon that is defined as the anomaly of opening a new university and, correspondingly, opening a new program, is seen to be reflected on the higher education that offer professional music education. Furthermore, it is found in the study that professional music education programs that increase due to newly opened universities, display an inconsistent outlook among themselves regarding structures, contents of the programs, output of the programs, and education-employment relationships.
