摘要：The contribution deals with third language acquisition and metalinguistic awareness in relation to Swedish and Dutch. The use of posture verbs in the above-mentioned languages is outlined to exemplify the outcome of focusing on metalinguistic awareness in language acquisition as a didactic tool. The contribution will discuss the set up and results of a cloze test taken by Swedish-speaking learners of Dutch, which measures the accurate use of posture verbs.
