摘要:This article seeks to understand the relationship between the development of commercial fishing activity in the Brazilian Amazon and its relation to social change work through greater integration of capital in the regional economy, particularly from the perspective of the fishermen on the region in the Baixo- Solimões – state Amazonas. These changes were marked, especially since the second half of the twentieth century, the dynamics of larger social relations of production and the productive forces in the fishing sector and its relationship to the exploitation of available resources. The diversification of forms of social appropriation of naturalresources in the region and its relationship with the individuals involved demarcatedprofound changes on the rural way of life and social dimensions of work in the Amazon.
