摘要：In this editorial, we present the new session of translated texts, fruit of the partnership of the Brazilian Journal of Family and Community Medicine with the British Journal of General Practice. In 2017, we chose to translate texts that brought to Brazil reflections on the current reality of United Kingdom’s primary health care, particularly on the incorporation of technologies in general practice, the need for greater knowledge about the relationship between supply, demand and access to health services, as well as the effects of pay for performance policies on the practice of health professionals. These reflections are current for the Brazilian context, suggesting the importance of greater investments in innovation and production of scientific knowledge for strengthening primary health care in the country.
