摘要：Belu regency is one of the districts in NTT province that directly borders with RDTL Country along 126 KM and there are 2 official gate as the gate at RI-RDTL border ie Motaain and Turiskain. The open access of PLBN formally and the development of PLBN Motaain supported by better connectivity and accessibility to the border area have an impact on the increasing of trade activity around the area. By looking at these conditions, research needs to be done to assess the impact of the development of the MOTTAN PLBN on trading activities. This research approach using qualitative method that is nonnumeric or data not in the form of numbers. The properties used in this method are descriptive and are descriptions describing the state of the field. The selected research model is a case study with intrinsic form that aims to understand better and deeper about a particular case. The results of the study of trading conditions in the border area of Motaain before and after and the impact of the development of PLBN Motaain on trading activities, it is concluded that there is a change in trading activities in the border area Motaain associated with the perpetrators of trade, the flow of trade, the type and amount of trade facilities that also affect trade costs, trade activity intensity, per capita income and impact on economic growth in micro, mezo and macro scale.
