摘要：Ependymoma is a glial tumor that occurs in the central nervous system. It most commonly has an intradural intramedullary location. Usually they represent the most common intramedullary tumor in adults. Despite their usually well-defined dissection plane, surgical morbidity has been documented to be considerably higher compared with other intramedullary entities. We report a case of a 46 years old female patient who presented headache in the occipital region for over a year, posteriorly associated with cervicalgia. Imaging studies showed a well-defined mass occupying the bulbomedular region, histopathological studies reported a grade I ependymoma.
