摘要：O artigo parte dos princípios que orientam a prevenção do suicídio, tomando por referência o projeto da Organização Mundial da Saúde que se ocupa do tema. Destaca-se o fundamento da vulnerabilidade e a consideração de que não se trata de ato voluntário. A partir de Freud e Lacan, aponta-se que tal direcionamento para o tema reforça o não querer saber sobre a causa, via correlata ao querer o bem do outro.
其他摘要：The article discusses the principles which guide the prevention of suicide, taking as a reference the project of the World Health Organization that deals with the subject. Noteworthy are the basis of vulnerability and the fact that it is not a voluntary act. Based on Freud and Lacan, it is noted that this approach to the theme reinforces the idea of not to wonder about the cause, a correlate way to wishing others well.
