摘要：O artigo relata os resultados de uma pesquisa sobre as representações sociais que os profissionais da educação têm sobre quem é o psicólogo escolar e qual é a sua função na escola. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas e envolveu 22 profissionais da área de educação. As entrevistas foram gravadas e, posteriormente, transcritas utilizando-se a técnica de registro contínuo. Como orientação metodológica para análise e discussão utilizou-se a proposta da análise de conteúdo. A partir disso, foi possível a sistematização de duas categorias de representações sociais partilhadas no espaço escolar. A primeira se aproxima da perspectiva clínica, norteada por um modelo individualizado, na qual o psicólogo escolar tem o papel de evitar desajustes e desadaptações do aluno, revelando a crença de que a presença de um psicólogo é solução para muitos problemas. Na segunda, identificam-se concepções teóricas atuais que definem o psicólogo escolar como um agente de mudança que atua junto a toda comunidade escolar e sobre problemas psicossociais, visando favorecer o processo de ensino e de aprendizagem.
其他摘要：The article reports on the results of a research about the social representations that education professionals have about who the school psychologist is and what its function in school is. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview and involved 22 education professionals. The interviews were recorded and transcribed using the continuous registry technique and were analyzed and discussed based on the content analysis proposal. From this, two categories of shared social representation in the school were systematized. The first approximates the clinical perspective, guided by an individualized model, in which the school psychologist's role is to avoid mismatches and behavior problems, revealing a belief that the presence of a psychologist is the solution to many problems. In the second it identifies current theoretical concepts that define the school psychologist as a change agent who works with the entire school community and on psychosocial problems in order to facilitate teaching and learning.
