摘要：Este texto aborda a construção subjetiva do paciente, especificamente aquele com diagnóstico de câncer, uma doença culturalmente estigmatizada e com representações simbólicas negativas. Ressalta a importância desta compreensão, sobretudo no que diz respeito às suas repercussões para o equilíbrio emocional do paciente, que afeta, significativamente, o seu quadro clínico geral. Corroboramos com a literatura na qual estudos realizados indicam que as representações construídas pela cultura somadas aos efeitos produzidos pelo seu tratamento podem influenciar na forma de enfrentamento da doença. Diante disto, discussões e reflexões acerca desta temática são importantes na medida em que podem contribuir para um maior aprofundamento da prática clínica no contexto hospitalar, visando um tratamento que contemple tanto o orgânico como o psíquico destes pacientes, promovendo desta forma, um bem estar integral, tal como preconizado pela Organização Mundial de Saúde.
其他摘要：This text approaches the construction subjective of the patient, specifically that one with cancer diagnosis, a culturally mark illness and with negative symbolic representations. The importance of this understanding standes out, over all in that it says respect to its repercussions for the emotional balance of the patient, who affects, significantly, its general clinical picture. We corroborate with literature in the which carried through studies indicate that the representations constructed for the culture added to the effect produced through its treatment can influence in the form of confrontation of the illness. Ahead of this, quarrels and reflections about of this thematic one are important in the measure where they can contribute for a bigger deepening of the practical clinic in the hospital context, aiming at a treatment that can contemplate the organic one in such a way as the psychic one of these patients, promoting of this form, a whole welfare, such as praised for the World Health Organization.
