摘要:The present study is an attempt to explore the potential problems encountered by an adolescent boy with learning disability. It outlines difficulties in areas of communication, social, intellectual and behavioral domains. Teacher, parent and child reports were used to obtain quantitative and qualitative understanding of underlying issues. Stress factors were identified that contributed to the problems experienced. An individualized home program to enhance learning, social and communication skills were designed and the child was re assessed six months after intervention. The home program was observed to be an effective one, since there were significant improvements in all areas. We found that academic involvement and self esteem also was better as a result of sustained use of assistive techniques that were suggested.
