摘要：We conducted this study to assess the validity and reliability of the Persian version of Mannheim Dream (MADRE) questionnaire. The study population included students of School of Psychology, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, who were selected randomly through the convenience sampling method. Reliability of the tool was evaluated by test–retest and Cronbach’s alpha methods. The Persian scale demonstrated good test-retest reliability (69%), and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the whole questionnaire was calculated at 0.85. Overall, 24 items with high reliability were retained from the final version of the questionnaire. Based on factor analysis, the following six factors emerged: concept of dream, effects of dreams on waking life, timing, experience and feelings, childhood memories, and articles and entries available. Our findings indicated that the Persian version of the MADRE questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument.
