摘要:Academic critics have usually underestimated or forgotten short films. However, the boom of this genre in Spain in the last twenty years, has made appear some titles which show remarkable artistic value. That is the case of 7:35 de la mañana, directed by Nacho Vigalondo in 2003, considerably successful among critics and audience all over the world and nominee for Oscar awards. The textual analysis of Vigalondo’s short movie reveals that it inverts the patterns of Hollywood musical films through the perspective of deformation present in Valle-Inclán’s esperpento. A reflexive fusion strongly linked to the best Spanish cinema’s tradition.
