  • 摘要:The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of a pedagogical intervention using problembased learning (PBL) as an active learning strategy. Results were compared among two groups (intervention and control) in specific topics of Biochemistry and critical thinking. Data collected allowed a statistical comparison of achievement between the groups, showing that the use of PBL significantly increases the academic performance and the critical thinking level compared to the control group. Among the results, it can be stated that students switched from low to satisfactory and exemplary levels of critical thinking, showing more individual and group reflection and teamwork, reaching levels of motivation that had a positive impact on their academic performance.
