标题:ความจำเป็นที่คนไทยต้องมีความเชี่ยวชาญภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความได้เปรียบในการแข่งขันระดับโลกาภิวัตน์ It’s Mandatory that Thais Have English Proficiency to Enhance Global Competitive Advantages
其他摘要:Now that AEC has been effective, Thais have to develop themselves to be well equipped to compete with citizens of other countries. Many Thais can’t communicate in English with proficiency; thus, teaching and learning English in Thailand must aim at developing students’ English proficiency. Both instructors and students must modify their attitudes and behaviors; Thai graduates should have English skills to prepare themselves to be world citizens. Most Thai students have low motivation to learn English; consequently, Thai graduates are disadvantageous when compared to other countries’ graduates with better English skills. Thai Government should help enhance Thai people’s English proficiency, so they can communicate efficiently. Thai students learn English for 12 years in schools, but their English proficiency is too low for them to communicate efficiently. Thai Government should promote English programs at all levels—elementary, secondary, and higher education by reducing tuition fees for English programs in public schools, so that more people can afford. English instructors should improve teaching methods with an emphasis on developing students’ 4 skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students should also shift their purposes of learning English. Not only do they want to pass English test to meet the requirement of their study program, but they must also want to develop their 4 skills for social interaction and working efficiently.
