摘要：Problem solving plays an important role in students’ learning, especially in quantitative topics, such as mathematics, statistics, operations research, and management sciences. Learning management systems (LMS) and online homework management systems can assist students’ learning by offering quizzes and tests allowing multiple attempts with immediate feedback. In this paper, using the software readily available to most institutions (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel), we explain how to create quizzes in an LMS, such as Desire2Learn, that allow students multiple attempts. Although most systems offer a way to create questions algorithmically, the functions available for creating those questions are limited. As a result, they are often unsuitable for complex quantitative topics. The method shown in this paper overcomes the limitation of algorithmic questions in an LMS.
