摘要：sterol clusters. Our results suggest that the structural peculiarities of holothuroid sterols provide sea cucumbers with a mechanism to mitigate the sterol-agglomerating effect of saponins, and therefore to protect their cells from the cytotoxicity of the saponins they produce.
