Furthermore, size exclusion chromatography of the MCPIP1 and PIN proteins suggested that MCPIP1 undergoes homooligomerization during interaction with RNA substrates. Our results provide insight into the mechanism of MCPIP1 substrate recognition and its affinity towards various oligonucleotides.
