摘要：Different meteorological phenomena leading to droughts in Margarita Island during the colonial period are reviewed here from an analytical perspective which interprets the relationship between climate, society and history as indivisible. Based on documentary evidence, the paper seeks to show the historicity of vulnerability in this society, and the lack of environmental adaptation strategies.
