摘要：Using the theoretical and methodological framework of Discourse Analysis, we focus on the Indian Statute (Law 6.001 of December 19, 1973) and its self-declared purpose of promoting the indigenous people’s integration in the national communion. We sought to understand which effects of meaning come from integration in the discourse that was constituted in the Indian Statute through the guardianship of the indigenous civil capacity established in this legislation. Pêcheux’s notion of archive was used as a theoretical and methodological procedure for the treatment of the materials listed for analysis. The corpus is composed by discursive sequences, which are organized according to paraphrastic and polysemic relations.
