摘要：The paper is introducing a research aiming to analyze rhythm in various genres of texts. After a review of the literature on rhythm formalization in texts, a Natural Language Processing application was developed for analyzing the rhythmicity in three cases: poem, prose, and political speech. The application implemented three formal approaches for rhythm analysis, proposed for the Romanian and French languages. Factors such as: rhythmic unit, rhythmic structure, and rhythmic index were considered. Comparisons are made between different genres, approaches, and languages.
