摘要:This paper aims to discuss the role of science fairs and the ways in which they can be better organized, so that they are meaningful for teachers, students and the community where the school is located, as well as the importance of using this Instrumentation for teaching chemistry, facilitating learning and arousing interest in the discipline. It is also noted that the use of Science Fairs has the additional characteristics to bring the participants closer to a collaborative and group work, together with a healthy competitive character and opening doors for initiative to improve the process of studying chemistry. This research also sought to show how has been working the teaching of chemistry in public and private high schools in the city of Patos-PB, held in the period from October to November 2014. For the realization of the same, three schools, Two from the public school system and one from the private network. These are at the elementary and secondary level. Research was also done with some students and teachers who teach at the Universidade Estadual da Paraiba Campus VII, located in this city, thus complementing the research on the teaching of chemistry..
