摘要:This study purposed to analyze the municipal, state and federal laws, seeking to identify the legislation applicable to meliponiculture through a bibliographical and documentary research, allied to obtaining information from the meliponicultores of the northeastern semiarid region, in order to assist in understanding the difficulties faced by native bees without sting and contribute to the drafting of a bill that can be adopted by Pombal and other municipalities, in order, to facilitate the development of the activity, without leaving aside their control, aiming at the support and the consequent achievement of socioeconomic and environmental results. Research was carried out that led to the identification of federal norms that regulate, but in a generic way, the industrial and sanitary inspection of meliponaria, as well as the use of native wild bees and the implantation of meliponaria. The results showed that the SC provides that in the case of local interest, municipalities have the authority to supplement federal and state legislation, in order to fill the gaps left. The meliponicultores interviewed underscored the difficulties faced regarding the geographic distance of the competent environmental agencies, the bureaucracy and the little attention given to meliponicultura, indicating that these difficulties would be significantly reduced with a local standardization. The importance of the existence of local norms in the facilitation of registration, control and support to the activity was also ratified. However, it was verified that it is fundamental to propose a bill, which, in accordance with federal and state legislation, can supply the vacuums left by them, enabling the correct and legal development of the activity. It was concluded that although the bill is an important instrument, it is necessary that it be didactic, accessible and brought to the attention of the meliponicultores by the competent organs.
