摘要:Purpose: In this study, entrepreneurship perception in the first and second generations was tried to determine by discussing reasons for being entrepreneur, ideal entrepreneurial characteristics, selection of the next generation of entrepreneurs, expectations from the generations. Methodology: Semi-structured interviews were done with four founder and nine next generations. Findings: The results showed that as to entrepreneurships, “commitment to job” and “communication” are the most important features, also the founders of the company have lots of job experienced. While selecting the successors, the hierarchy in the family and gender are effective. Moreover, next generations reported that founders expect companies’ sustainability and development from them however when the founders answered the questions about the expectations from successors, they said that there is no expectation. Practical Implications: The realization of this study in different provinces will be useful in comparing the results. Originality: The article is an original research that shows the difference in entrepreneurship perception of first and second generation in family businesses.
