摘要:This article considers functions of a political caricature as a creolized text consisting of graphic and verbal components, creating a single semantic whole. Background knowledge about relationship between coun- tries who are in Trans-Pacific Partnership (TTP) is studied, which is necessary for interpretation and understand- ing of humor inherent in the political caricatures. The main purpose of the work is to identify the type of func- tions of a political caricature in political discourse. The results of research showed that in political caricatures about Trans-Pacific Partnership are mostly used informative and satirical functions
