摘要:Critical thinking consists of a thinking process based on explicit and correct knowledge running through alternatives and intellectualizing individuals’ ideas. The role of school and thereby educators is essential in terms of managing thinking by different ways such as multilateral thinking, inquiry, entering into details regarding critical thinking, In this sense, within this study, the awareness of teachers regarding critical thinking was analyzed and the data was collected from 42 teachers through a written form. As a result of analyzing teachers’ metaphors, some categories such as utilizing from various points of views, multilateral and multidimensional thinking, inquiry, reasoning and judgement were reached. Generally, it was seen that metaphors and examples teachers used were consistent with their critical thinking definitions and they described critical thinking in a right way.
