摘要:This article examines different stages in the life of A.V. Lunacharsky that allow defining his activity as triumphal, and at the same time, tragic. It demonstrates how his personal qualities, high level of education and encyclopedic knowledge become the basis for his successful activity in the field of Soviet culture. The article analyzes Lunacharsky’s relationship with bourgeois intellectuals, and focuses on contradictions in his world outlook. The article provides arguments in support of the opinion of impossibility to combine ideas of humanism that refuse violence in any form, with Bolshevik ideas that attempt to justify violence.
