摘要:The RTVE Lab was created in June 2011 as a unit of the Corporation’s Department of Strategy and Business Development for Interactive Media. This article describes the structure and work process of RTVE Lab, classifies its products and it investigates the cooperation of this laboratory with the rest of RTVE newsrooms and departments. A qualitative methodology is used based on semi-structured interviews to lab members, participant observation at the newsroom as well as an analysis of the typology of the products generated by the lab during 2015 and 2016. The results indicate that the basic function of the laboratory is experimentation. In its years of experience, the laboratory is developing a large variety of journalistic products that differentiate RTVE from other audiovisual companies and they put it on the map of national journalistic innovation.
