摘要:The increasing awareness of the dangers of chemicals on health, long term poses the need to look for alternative mechanisms to counteract the negative effects of pests with a minimum of collateral damage caused by chemicals used for this. The dairy industry is one of the most affected by this kind of products which could undermine, not only the production, but even could be partially transmitted to the products sold. The use of biotechnological package allows controlling the pest of the main varieties of flies present in dairy barns; this article presents a study in which the implementation of a biotechnological package has shown to reduce stress, reduce the spread of diseases such as mastitis and especially to increase milk production while decreasing the amount of medication required in cattle and reduce the amount of pesticides used to combat flies. This article also shows the elements that allow production and commercialization by companies with small greenhouses that would increase the income of small producers looking to satisfy important demands related with pest control in their region. The biotechnological package consist of the use of a parasitoid insect known as Spalangia Endius Walker which through the parasitization of the pupa fly prevents the birth of new flies, supported by a set of ultraviolet light to liquidate migratory populations and a set of specially developed quarry traps to reduce the fly population in adulthood. This study case presents the successfully implementation in several farms of various sizes in the region of Queretaro, the study was done with a company of the region, livestock ranches union of the state of Queretaro and Autonomous University of Queretaro through its Laboratory of Technology and Innovation Management.
