  • 摘要:This paper examines the various steps in the commercialization process of the myrtle (Psidium sartorianum O. Berg Nied) in the southern State of Mexico and the different actors involved, from the product departure from the farm to its arrival at final consumer. Also, it is calculated the resulting marketing margins during the different stages, which are used as indicators of profitability. The studio refers to the year 2011, when 20 myrtle trees were selected by purposive sampling, because of their physiological maturity and production, they were chosen to market their fruit in the region; in this regard, the actors in this process were surveyed: 10 farmers, 8 intermediate, three ice cream vendors, two manufacturers of candy, five vendors of tamales and five fresh water outlets. The object of the survey was to gather information about the production process, participating agents, marketing costs and prices to then determine the margins and channels. The results showed that at current prices, the largest margin of marketing as well as the highest benefit cost recorded in the marketing channel: producer-consumer.
