  • 摘要:The purpose of this study was to investigate the metacognitive learning strategies of the university students in different faculties. The study group included a total of 296 (167 male and 133 female) students; Education Faculty students (n = 99), Sport Science Faculty students (n = 97) and Enginering Faculty students (n = 100). For determination of metacognitive learning strategies of university students, Metacognitive Learning Strategies Scale developing by Namlu (2004) was used. the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was applied to test for a normal distribution and the result found that the data distribution was not normal (p 0.05). This result is different from previous research. It was concluded that this significant difference happened because of previous research participants were only included physical education and sport teaching department students. However, students from different faculties were participated in this study. This study shows that male and female students use different metacognitive learning strategies so future research should compare both male and female students’ metacognitive learning strategies from different faculties, universities and even from different geographical and sociocultural areas.
