其他摘要：This article presents the results of experimental researches in IEEE 802.11b network, made in Lithuania. The goal of theseexperiments is to define to ascertain the suitability of IEEE 802.11b technologies for the creation of consumers’ networks. The articlegives a brief review about the 802.11b standard, the specification of equipments and methods used in the experiments. During theexperiments the rate of data transmitting and the dependency of channel’s reliability were determinate. This article gives the answer to aquestion, what minimal frequency’s distance must be between the channels in order not to create interference phenomenon in short andlong distances. There is also an investigation on the influence by the number of nodes made to the rate of transmission. This article alsogives the results of long time researches of signals and noise evaluations for radio channels, which exist in different parts of Lithuania.In the end the conclusion is made, which signifies that IEEE 802.11b technology is suitable for creation of consumers’ networks.
