摘要：O turismo tem crescido como atividade e como tema acadêmico, sendo, portanto, importante o fomento às pesquisas na área, fundamentais ao processo de desenvolvimento científico. O artigo identifica o perfil científico dos atuais pesquisadores com Bolsa CNPq de Produtividade em Pesquisa, que atuam no Turismo. Foram consultadas as informações fornecidas pelos pesquisadores em seus currículos registrados na Plataforma Lattes, entre os anos de 2014 e 2017. Os dados adquiridos permitem concluir que: (a) a maioria dos bolsistas (75%) encontram-se na categoria 2, de Bolsa Produtividade; (b) a maioria dos bolsistas possui formação inicial em Turismo; (c) o percentual de pós-graduados com mestrado e doutorado em Ciências da Comunicação e Geografia apresenta maior destaque; (d) 75% dos bolsistas realizaram pelo menos um pós-doutorado, a maior parte no exterior; (e) 2 pesquisadores possuem o título de livre docência; (f) a divulgação das pesquisas foi realizada, entre outros, em 186 periódicos nacionais ou estrangeiros e, dentre outros, num espectro amplo de capítulos de livros e anais de congressos. ABSTRACT It is important to promote research in the process of scientific development, and tourism has grown both as an activity and as an academic subject. The article identifies the scientific profile of the current researchers with a Research Productivity Grant from CNPq, who work in Tourism. The information provided by the researchers in their curricula registered in the Lattes Platform between 2014 and 2016 was consulted. The data obtained allow us to conclude that: (a) majority of the fellows (75%) are in category 2 of the productivity grant; (b) majority of scholarship holders have initial studies in Tourism; (c) the percentage that has postgraduate training in Communication Sciences is 19% for the master's degree and 32% for the doctorate; (d) 75% of the fellows held at least one postdoctoral fellowship, most of which was abroad; (e) 2 researchers have the title of free teaching; (f) dissemination of research was carried out, among others, in 137 national or international journals and in a broad spectrum of chapters of books and annals of congresses.
