  • 摘要:The purpose of this paper was to review current studies of instructional psychology in Japan.After describing a brief history of research on instructional psychology in Japan, the review concentrated on cognitive research on learning and instruction of subject matter areas, including reading and writing, mathematics, and science.These studies showed that cognitive research on these subject matters has been a central domain for the study of learning and instruction in Japan. The results of the review suggest the need for research on the effect of interventions to understand the complex interaction between students'cognitive processes and instruction.
