其他摘要:Regarding the historical perspective of the research works of language development, Richter (1927) pointed out Stern's book, “Kindersprach” (1907), as the most influential article. After the time of Stern, one must admit Piaget's research (1926) as the most influential one. The present paper concerned with a review of recent studies in these 10 years, and intended to cover most of the research fields. According to linguistic methodology, the studies reported here should have been classified into four major fields, i. e., phonology, morphology, syntacs, and semantics. The purpose of the present paper, however, was to cover broad area of the rcscach related to the language development. The research fields covered in this paper include language structure and language function derived from a traditional research method, phonology, syntacs and semantics provided from the typical linguistic methodology, the relationship between language development and conditioning concerned with the interpretations from psychology of learning, and finally language development of abnormal children. The sections provided here were as follows: Section. 1. Development of language structure (by S. Nakamaru). It covers development of vocaburary, development of syntactic structure, and methodology for measuring language development. Scction 2. Development of language function. It consisted of two parts. One refers relationship between cognition and thought (by M. Nakatsuka), covering development of representative function and relation of piaget's operation and language. The other refers mediating function of language (by T. Tanaka) Section 3. Phonological aspect (by S. Yamaguchi). It covers relation of babbling to speech, differentiation of distinctive features, development of a phonemic system, and acquisition of phonological rules. Section 4. Syntactic aspect (by T. Hano). It covers methodology for studying syntacs, application of generative grammar to language development, and development of transformations. Section 5. Semantic aspcct (by S. Kakigi). It covers semantic anomaly, word association, measurement of meaning, semantic influence on syntax, association of meaning and action, and symbol formation. Section 6. Relationship between language development and conditioning (by H. Oshima). Section 7. Language development of abnoumals (by T. Kaizuka). It covers language ability, psycholinguistic ability, language development of handicaped children, problems appeared in treatment, training, and evaluation, and language function in the field of higher nervous activity.
