摘要:The present study was designed to examine the relationship between excessive immersion for Junior Sport Club and adjustment to school in children. The data were obtained through questionnaries distributed to 611 (417 males, 194 females) children, and χ^2 test, F test and discriminant analysis were applied to the data. Main findings are as follows: 1) 12.6%(16.1% of males, 5.2% of females) of the junior sport club members is excessive immersion for Junior Sport Club, 74.5% (71.2% of males, 81.4% of females) is moderate immersion and 12.9% (12.7% of males, 13.4% of females) is low immersion. 2) As the result of F test among three levels of immersion for Junior Sport Club with SMT (School Morale Test), a group of extensive immersion has significantly lower scores in each morale of "interest in school" and "desire for learning" than a group of moderate immersion. And the group of excessive immersion has significantly lower scores in morale of "attitude toward the teacher" than the other two groups. 3) As the result of discriminant analysis between the group of extensive immersion and the group of moderate immersion, seven factors such as "interest in and desire for Junior Sport Club", "gender", "self-esteem with Junior Sport Club", "desire for learning", "attitude toward the teacher", "friendship with teammates", "YG・S scale" were found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). 4)As to each standardized discriminant coefficient of factors, high interest in and strong desire for Junior Sport Club, male in gender, high selfesteem with Junior Sport Club, better friendship with teammates, high social extraversion, low desire for learning, low reliance on the teacher, respectively promote children to excessively immerse for Junior Sport Club.
