其他摘要：Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences (LCAS) was established in 1950, then it has grown to be a national science library. It comprehensively and systematically collects documents in natural sciences and applied technology areas, preserve and provides for library patrons. LAS also review and coordinates programs for library and information services, information research, archives management, science and culture communication, and executes education for graduate students who major in library and information sciences. A new building of LCAS was built in 2001 located inside Science Town in Zhongguancun, Beijing called Silicon Valley in China. LAS has another important function as a library service platform for libraries of specialized research institutes belonging to Chinese Academy of Sciences, which are located in several places inside China apart from Beijing. This article describes building and service of information resources in LCAS, information researches, library and information science education, science exchange and cooperation with overseas equivalents to LCAS, and National Scientific and Technological Library System.
