摘要：画像DBは，画像データと属性データを同時に管理するDBシステムである。画像DBに要求される機能を整理した上で，現今では，多くのケースの画像DBが，いわゆるドキュメント管理システムの一つの形態ととらえる方がよいことを述べる。ドキュメント管理システムであるFORMTEK Systemの機能を説明し，画像DBへの適用方法を具体的に説明する。
其他摘要：Image database is the system that manages both image data and attribute data. The functionality required of the image database are summarized. It is then shown that the image database is a variety of document management system in many cases. Finally, it is concretely described how the image database is developed using the commercial document management system:FORMTEK system.
