其他摘要：Aquariums and zoos are places where living animals are exhibited. People who are in charge of exhibitions have been seeking how effectively they give explanations on them. Moreover, since exhibitions themselves have been quite specialized recently, it is getting more difficult to sort out those specialized information. It is also an important issue how to serve those information intelligibly to the visitors. At the "library" in Tokyo Sea Life Park, we have installed an information retrieval system using usual personal computer terminals. Compared to picture books, this system makes it possible to find an animal by various methods and even with fewer information. This paper gives an outline of this svstem and issues to be considered for the future.
