摘要：文献速報「化学・化学工業編（外国編）」の昭和53年度版を中心として，収録対象資料と記事発生パターン，主要1次資料，分野別収録記事数，収録記事の記事区分別比率，他の関連科学技術分野からの記事発生比率，キーワード付与数などの観点から調査・分析した結果を報告。1次資料からの記事発生パターンは，上位～中位資料への集中度が高く，低位誌への分散度が低い。また収録記事は化学分野の学術雑誌から集中して発生している。core journalへの依存度は，「物理・応用物理編」と「機械工学編」の中間に位置して「電気工学編」と同じようなパターンであった。
其他摘要：The 1978 edition of the CBST Chemistry series (foreign journals section) is analyzed as to source journals and article-generating patterns, leading primary journals, distribution of abstracts, by subjects, breakdown by characteristics of articles, intake from other series of CBST, and number of descriptors assigned per abstract. The article-generating pattern shows higher concentration to high-ranking primary journals and lower dispersion in low-ranking side. Number of abstracts show high concentration to those from scientific journals in pure chemistry. Dependence to core journals is lying between that of "Physics" and "Mechanical Engineering" of the CBST, and comparable to that of "Electrical and Electronic" series.
