摘要：Resumen: El presente trabajo indaga en el itinerario seguido en Balún-Canán, novela emblemática de la narradora mexicana Rosario Castellanos, por dos elementos en apariencia contrarios: la violencia y el lenguaje. Dicho recorrido atraviesa por varios “momentos” en los cuales se ponen en evidencia una serie de desencuentros entre la palabra escrita y la palabra oral, así como las distintas dimensiones que los protagonistas de esta novela otorgan, por un lado al “uso de la palabra”, y, en el otro extremo, a una de las formas más representativas de la violencia: “el uso del silencio”. Por tanto, el lenguaje no constituye únicamente una forma de dominio, sino una dimensión espaciotemporal donde callar adquiere múltiples sentidos.
其他摘要：Abstract: This paper explores the itinerary followed in Balún-Canán, iconic novel by the Mexican writer Rosario Castellanos, through two apparently contradicting elements: violence and language. This route passes through several “moments” in which a series of disagreements between the written word and the spoken word are brought forward, as well as the different dimensions giving protagonists of this novel on the one hand the “use of the word” and on the other hand, one of the most representative forms of violence: “the use of silence.” Therefore, language is not merely a form of domination, but a dimension of space-time where silence acquires multiple meanings.
