摘要：Construction projects have encountered poor performance due to the insecure environment caused by insurgency and terrorism in the world. The real cause includes lack of desired resource and reluctance of stakeholders/project teams to work in such areas. The project suffers a massive loss of finances, time overrun and poor quality which ends up the project in the midway. In the current research, various risks which affect the productivity of the project due to an insecure environment will be identified. Multiple factors are affecting the objectives of the project; time and cost will be extracted from the literature review and structured interviews from stakeholders who have already work experience in these areas. A model incorporating these factors will be developed. The model will further be validated and verified from the project which has been implemented in such areas. This study will help not only help in increasing the performance of the project but also set a yardstick for development projects implemented in insurgency-hit areas of the world.
