摘要：Recent rescue excavation on land scheduled for housing produced an exceptionally large and diverse assemblage of Roman artefacts, including over 3,000 coins and other metal objects. Here one of the Institute's conservators, who is contracted to work for projects funded by English Heritage, describes her approach to conserving the coins, as well as several well preserved pewter and copper-alloy items of Roman tableware.
