摘要：Aquest homenatge a Eugeni Domingo el descriu com una persona que aconseguí treballar amb seriositat i èxit pel que fa a la política econòmica i influir en el seu pas pel Banc Central Europeu. Fou una peça clau en diversos projectes i des de la seva discreció assumí el seu lloc amb molta dignitat i il·lusió. Eugeni fou un dels executors de l'euro amb la incertesa i preocupació que suposava l'aplicació d'una moneda única. A més, tot i dedicar-se a la banca de manera molt intensa, Eugeni Domingo mai no abandonà les classes a la facultat. En definitiva una gran pèrdua d'una bona persona, un il·lustre economista, un bon professor i un profund català.

Neither did Eugeni Domingo ever cease to teach at the university, where he had been active for years. His passing represents the loss of a great person, a distinguished economist, an exceptional professor and a devoted Catalan.
