  • 摘要:Many FinTech (Financial Technologies) have evolved to disrupt the whole industry. Robo-Advisors are one of the recentincarnations of FinTech, attracting more and more attention by pitching a variety of potential advantages including cost savingand transparency in the financial service industry. Yet it is still too soon to tell whether what we are hearing is just hype ornot. Anecdotal evidence and observations are contradictory and largely divided as to whether Robo-Advisors will join otherdisruptive FinTechs in the foreseeable future. This paper posits trust as one of the main factors affecting Robo-Advisors’adoption and eventual success. It documents the development of an agent-based simulation model to examine the impact of keyelements in the trust building processes. The aim is to identify the decision making process and environmental conditions underwhich Robo-Advisors can be successfully implemented. A design science approach is adopted due to the dynamic nature andcomplexity of trust building mechanisms. This study reports on the second stage of a comprehensive study which aims toexamine broad strategies for the implementation and deployment of Robo-Advisors.
