摘要:The aim of the present study is to examine the opinions of Basic Education Department preservice teachers’ about the curriculum concept via their metaphors. The study group was formed by Abant İzzet Baysal University Education Faculty Basic Education Department senior preservice teachers (n=83) in the spring semester of 2016 -2017 academic year. In the study phenomenological design was used and they were asked to complete the following sentence, as: “Curriculum is like a(n) ………………. because ……………………… .” Content analysis technique was used and the findings revealed that preservice teachers generate 74 metaphors (first five mostly generated metaphors; compass, tree, car steering wheel, computer software and factory) grouped under 7 categories.
