  • 摘要:This work intends to analise the utilization of biodigesters, water captation cisterns and desalinizers as social technologies and sustainable alternatives to coexist with the semi-arid region in order to contribute to the understanding of how it is possible to benefit society from the production and use of technologies without giving up vigilance and awareness to sustainability. Therefore, a study was carried out on these technologies and their importance to rural populations in the Semiarid. The development of the semi-arid region is linked to the introduction of a new proposal regarding its environmental characteristics and changes in practices and the indiscriminate utilization of natural resources. Social technologies such as cisterns, desalinizers and biodigesters can be a sustainable alternative to coexist with the semi-arid region, especially for people living in regions with prolonged drought where water utilization is limited by their high salts concentration and where there are residues (animal and vegetable) produced in rural properties. These technologies present themselves as modern options adaptable to rural property, simple and low cost that permits to solve social and structural problems, besides being able to improve income and quality of life to these populations.
