  • 摘要:The representation method for submarine topography is mainly the sounding notations combined with depth contours representation currently, and the sounding notation is the important part of the seabed terrain representation model. The most commonly intuitive and used seabed terrain representation model is the chart. The users understand the sea area through the interpretation of depth notation in chart, which contribute to achieve safe navigation and well-off exploitation. The density of bathymetric notation is specified in various regulations on charting that proposed by the state, thus the arrangement of soundings is only mentioned simply without stating any reason. Based on the characteristics of seabed topography and the features of hydrographic survey, the conditions that the soundings arrangement should satisfied are analysed, two types of soundings notation places which can meet the conditions are induced. Finally, the two arrangements are compared on the representation ability, and accuracy and feasibility of the rhombohedral arrangement are verified better by the results of the statistical calculation.
